Country music has long been an important part of American culture and tradition. It is perhaps the only music genre that is truly American. It's roots lay in the folk music of Appalachia, the jazz of deep south Louisiana and the blues sound that spread across the South. One of the best things about Country is the stories that are told. Those stories are a reflection of life itself, the good and the bad.

Country music is made even better by the vast talent and creativity of the many independent Country artists across America and around the world. Indie artists comes from many walks of life but all have in common a love for music and a desire to express life, heart and soul in their music. To these artists and their music we dedicate DownHomeRadio. We hope you enjoy the DHR internet radio station, our special Spotlight feature and other features that we hope to launch very soon!

THE ROUNDUP SHOW

Down Home Roundup with DavidG is a radio program/podcast that features music from some of the best Indie Country artists in the country. On the Roundup show, we don't just play the music, we tell you a bit about the artist as well.
